Adventures of Aesthetically Galveston: The Deep Blue Sea Gala

A few weeks ago, I was graciously invited to attend The Deep Blue Sea Gala hosted at The Hotel Galvez. The evening celebrated Moxie Media Marketing's collaboration with the power house sustainable energy leaders Global Oceanic Designs, Inc., SeaDog Systems, Inc. and Diamond Infrastructure Development, Inc.

6:00-7:30 PM Red Carpet

To kick off the event, I had the honor of interviewing special guests who were in attendance such as:

These individuals spoke out about their support for sustainable energy and the possibility of a more environmentally friendly planet. In addition to the star studded guest list, I had the opportunity to speak with leaders of the dynamic company trio Global Oceanic Designs, Inc., SeaDog Systems, Inc. and Diamond Infrastructure Development, Inc.

  • Kenneth W. Welch Jr., Founder and CEO of Global Oceanic Designs, Founder and CEO of SeaDog Systems, Inc., Diamond Infrastructure Board Member, CEO and President of Global X's Wave Facility, Moxie Media Marketing, Board Member

  • Georg Engelmann, CEO and Founder of Diamond Infrastructure Development, Texas A&M Galveston Graduate (Maritime Systems Engineering) and University of Houston Alumni (Civil and Environmental Engineering).

  • Steve Keinath, Cargill Board Member

By talking to these leaders, I learned about their strategic partnerships with Moxie Media Marketing and how its CEO, Jessica Ann Greenwalt, will promote Wave Energy Technologies for these powerful sustainable energy companies.

7:30-9:00 PM Entertainment & Dinner

After the buzz of interviews it was time for supper and speeches. The Galvez's ballroom was filled with elaborate fresh flower arrangements for guests to enjoy during a delicious five course meal and cold cocktails . Musical entertainment performed before company leaders took the stage. Musical guests included:

  • Anthony Rejiv, Award-Winning Singer, Saxophonist, Actor, Entertainer

9:00-9:15 PM Jessica Ann Greenwalt

After the performances concluded it was time for the guest of honor, Jessica Ann Greenwalt, to arrive. Jessica talked about Moxie Media Marketing's mission to support companies and markets through media, events, and public speaking to bring awareness to the Earth's climate and environment crisis. She also addressed her new initiative to bring awareness to Wave Energy Technologies to provide more sustainable resources worldwide.

She concluded her speech with the announcement of her philanthropic pursuit, “Just in time to Save a Life Foundation”, which aims to raise money for suicide prevention in honor of her late brother Justin. $40,000 was gifted by the sustainable energy trio to jumpstart the efforts of Jessica's foundation.

9:15-10:00 PM Fireworks and Farewells

To top off the soirée, guests were surprised outside with a private 15-minute fireworks over the Galveston ocean. It was the perfect backdrop for photographs and a champagne toast! And to finish up the five course meal, a mouthwatering chocolate cake and creme brulee dish was waiting inside. Guests concluded their evening with last call drinks, dancing, and farewells!

Special Thanks

I'd like to recognize a few people who made this evening so special. First and foremost, I want to say thank you to Bianca Bucaram of Bucaram PR Group. She entrusted me to cover the event and extended an invitation to the rest of The Deep Blue Sea's activities. Her company was a pleasure to work alongside through the entire process.

Huge shoutout to @consciousness_clothing and @maklaysimon for providing a gorgeous cocktail dress for me to wear. I loved borrowing a dress for an event that was centered around sustainability and environmentally friendly efforts.

I met some extremely talented individuals during the Gala. Some of which have provided me with professional advice and assisted me with creating content. Thank you to you all, and I hope we cross paths again in the future!
